The standards for the steel logistics industry will begin to be formulated next month.

  At the fourth China Steel Logistics Cooperation Forum held on January 8, 2011, the first domestic steel logistics industry standard will officially begin to be formulated. Sheng Zhicheng, deputy secretary-general of the Steel Logistics Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, revealed that the research on key technical standards for steel logistics, which is managed by this committee, has recently received a project approval notice from the Ministry of Finance. The project is expected to have an implementation period of 2 years, ending on September 30, 2012. Additionally, it has been learned that after the formal launch of the above-mentioned industry standard formulation, key standard drafts such as 'Steel Logistics Operation Specifications' and 'Steel Logistics Inspection Operation Specifications' will be successively released.
