Application of Control Rolling and Control Cooling Technology in Seamless Steel Pipe Production

   With the increasing requirements for resource conservation and sustainable development in the national industrial development strategy, as well as the intensification of market competition, seamlesssteel pipesmanufacturers are increasingly in need of high-performance, energy-saving, and low-cost seamlesssteel pipesproduction technology. Therefore, controlled rolling and controlled cooling (referred to as TMCP) technology is receiving more attention in seamlesssteel pipesproduction.
  As an effective means to reduce alloy consumption and production costs, controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology is widely used in the production of hot-rolled strip steel, medium-thick plates, bars and wires, and H-beams. Compared with the controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology for plates and strips, due to limitations from factors such as geometric shape, rolling process, and rolling equipment, seamlesssteel pipeshas relatively fewer controllable and variable factors during the production process; therefore, the application of controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology in seamlesssteel pipesproduction is somewhat constrained and still in an exploratory development stage. Although seamlesssteel pipescontrolled rolling and controlled cooling technology cannot form a complete set of control schemes from aspects such as deformation temperature, deformation amount, deformation passes, deformation gap time, final rolling temperature, and post-final rolling cooling processes, currently seamlesssteel pipes's controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology has also developed various processes including online normalization, online quenching, and online rapid cooling.steel pipes的控轧控冷技术也形成了包括在线常化、在线淬火和在线快速冷却等多种工艺,呈多样化发展。
