Welding for low-pressure fluid transportationSteel pipe, made of carbon soft steel, is one of the most commonly used small diameter pipes in pipeline engineering, suitable for transporting water, gas, steam and other media. Depending on the surface quality, it is divided into galvanized pipes (commonly known as white iron pipes) and non-galvanized pipes (commonly known as black iron pipes). The weight of the pipe with a zinc protective layer on the inner and outer walls is about 3%-6% heavier than that of non-galvanized ones. It is classified into three types based on wall thickness: thin-walled pipes, ordinary pipes, and thick-walled pipes. Thin-walled pipes are not suitable for transporting media and can be used as casings.
