Stainless steel pipes are an economical cross-section steel material and an important product in the steel industry. They can be widely used in both decorative and industrial applications. Many people use them to make stair railings, window guards, railings, furniture, etc. The common materials are 201 and 304.

They account for about 8% to 16% of the total amount of steel. Their application range in the national economy is extremely broad. Due to the hollow cross-section of steel pipes, they are most suitable for transporting liquids, gases, and solids. Additionally, compared to solid round steel of the same weight, steel pipes have a larger cross-sectional coefficient and greater resistance to bending and torsion, making them important materials in various machinery and construction structures. Structures and components made from stainless steel pipes have a greater section modulus than solid components when their weights are equal.

Stainless steel pipes themselves are an economical cross-section steel material that saves metal. They are an important component of efficient steel materials, especially in industries such as petroleum drilling, smelting, and transportation where demand is high. Additionally, large quantities of various types of steel pipes are needed in geological drilling, chemical engineering, construction industry, machinery industry, aircraft and automobile manufacturing as well as boiler manufacturing, medical devices, furniture production, and bicycle manufacturing. With the development of new technologies such as atomic energy, rockets, missiles, and aerospace industries, the role of stainless steel pipes in national defense industry, science technology and economic construction has become increasingly important.
